Katie Carter-Leay

Katie is a freelance Illustrator & Educator based in Basildon, Essex. She uses multimedia techniques to create work across a range of contexts, including editorial, advertising, surface patterns as well as large scale works such as window paintings and murals. Her work is vibrant and full of character, and she is known for her love of bright colours and pattern clashing. Running workshops and being involved in community projects is also an integral part of her practice, and she is eager to see more opportunities for creativity being facilitated in her local community.
